Meander Magazine is an online-only magazine, serving not only the San Luis Valley area of southern Colorado, but, indeed, many of our hits each month are world-wide. We have found that the vast majority of people on the internet are hungry for information and answers to life's difficulties. We try to provide answers in an informal, yet informational, format to help with the issues we all face every day.

Based in the beautiful San Luis Valley of Colorado, Meander Magazine showcases the issues of life from a rural perspective, as well as recognizine the urban and city life in which many are engaged. We try to look between the lines of any story or situation and give you a fresh perspective- one that isn't financially influenced by major marketers (boardrooms) or bound by mega-marketing ownership, such as news outlets in the mainstream.

You have the right to know the story behind the story, or other perspectives that are untethered by the almighty dollar.

Dianne James, the Publisher and Editor-in-chief, has been a news journalist, photographer, marketing professional, editor, videographer, television producer, and has held many other types of related jobs for more than thirty years. She has provided news video for ABC and CBS affiliates, as well as worked in radio, television, and newspaper. She's done the hard stories, and sees the good side of life as well. Comedy is featured in both the magazine and on Meander Radio, as a release, temporarily, from the heavier issues we face each day in our lives.

Meander Magazine is a family-oriented magazine with International, National, and Local news and links, providing a multi-layered venue for finding information on many topics. Those topics include your health, family issues, pet care, growing older, the music industry, movies, business and entrepenuers, earth changes such as earthquakes, volcanoes, and hurricanes, gardening, spiritual and religion news and features about faith, family and end times. Also, you'll find a section for travel, food and recipes, art and artists who create different types of artwork, galleries showcasing that art, and my personal favorite section, comedy.

Currently we get approximately 40 to more than 50,000 hits to this site per month, and we're working on making that figure a lot bigger each day. Since Meander Magazine's launch in the Spring of 2005, we've already grown beyond our expectations. Innovation will continue here, and your input is valuable to us, so don't hesitate to write.

Our store will be open soon, and we invite you to come in and see the art, photography and other items for sale there. It's our way of keeping this publication a viable and continuing source of information for you.
